The Beats.Mind.Movement Summer Intensive Program is BACK! Youth aged 16-24 are invited to apply TODAY!

The Summer Program is a FREE 2-month urban music team project that focusses on beat production, songwriting & recording, & the "Business of Music". The goal of each session is to complete an album or compilation CD and market it!

Here are the details:

What’s the Summer Program?

- a FREE 2-month intensive music program (4 nights a week).

- For youth 16-24, who have some experience making music and are eager to take it to the next level.

- because of limited space, you must submit an application!

What Can I Do in the Summer Program?

- Applicants choose one of 2 streams: the Beat-maker stream or the Vocalist stream.

- Both groups will also learn about the business of music and artist promotion.

- Participants collaborate to write, produce, and promote an original album.

- Hear from industry guest speakers and ask questions!

- Youth who commit to the program will be paid an honorarium!

IMPORTANT DATES:
- Deadline to apply is: FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2009
- Program runs: Mon-Thurs, 5:30pm-9pm for July & August
